He was born in Lausanne (Switzerland). He obtained the title of "Diplôme d'Ingénieur Électricien" (Specialty: Telecommunication) in March 2003 by the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) (Switzerland).

From October 2002 to March 2003 he completed his final project "Design and Prototype of Dual Polarization Microstrip Array Antennas" as a student of the ERASMUS program in the Radiation Group of the Department of Signals, Systems and Radiocommunications of the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM) ).

Since June 2003, he has been active in the Radiation Group of the Department of Signals, Systems and Radiocommunications of the E.T.S.I. of Telecommunication from the Polytechnic University of Madrid as a PhD student whose research topic for his doctoral thesis consists of the application of metamaterial structures in the design, analysis and prototyping of flat antennas.
At an initial stage (June 2003 to March 2006), he was a fellow in a project of companies for Sistemas Radiantes Moyano SA and INDRA SA in the Radiation Group.

From April 2006 to April 2010 he was recipient of a national research grant of the F.P.U Program of the Ministry of Education and Science of Spain by the Department of Signals, Systems and Radiocommunications of the Polytechnic University of Madrid.

In January 2006 I made a three-month PhD in the "Center de Recherches Poly-Grames" of the École Polytechnique de Montréal (Canada) with Prof. C. Caloz whose research topic was the characterization of a substrate with pathways Metallized for the miniaturization of flat microwave structures.

From September to December 2007 he completed a PhD in the Antennas Group of the Signals and Systems Department of Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg (Sweden) as a guest PhD student with Prof. P.-S. Kildal whose research topic was the study and analysis of forms in section to achieve invisibility by reducing obstruction.

From 2009 to 2013 he worked as a postdoc researcher in the Radiation Group of the Signals, Systems and Radiocommunications Department of the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
From October 2012 to July 2013 he worked as Associate Professor in the Radio Frequency Group: Circuits, Antennas and Systems of the Autonomous University of Madrid.

Since September 2013, he has been working as Assistant Professor Doctor in the Radiation Group of the Department of Signals, Systems and Radiocommunications of the E.T.S.I. of Telecommunication of the Polytechnic University of Madrid.

Since November 2020, he is Associate Professor in the Radiation Group of the Department of Signals, Systems and Radiocommunications of the E.T.S.I. of Telecommunication of the Polytechnic University of Madrid.

In 2018, he was a Fulbright Visiting Researcher with Antenna Research Group, University of Colorado at Boulder.

His professional interests mainly include the analysis, design and prototyping of antennas. He actively participates in national and international research projects funded in public calls and with companies such as Sistemas Radiantes Moyano SA and INDRA SA, INSA, Ministry of Defense in the Radiation Group. The results of these research projects are gathered in numerous communications presented in national and international congresses, as well as articles in international journals. He also participated as lecturer in several national and international courses on the topic of metamaterials and antenna design.
